Reviewed by Prof – VINE VOICE “I’ve found the Mod Podge Puzzle Saver to be incredibly effective. An 8 oz bottle is sufficient for about four 500-piece puzzles, with multiple coats applied. The application process I use involves a 3” quality paintbrush, avoiding cheap variants to prevent bristles sticking in the puzzle. The initial application appears white and opaque but dries clear, enhancing the puzzle’s colors without altering them. After the first thick coat, I allow several hours for drying, then apply a coat on the back and repeat for the front. I finish with a light sanding using 0000 steel wool to eliminate brush marks, followed by a final thin coat for a smooth, glossy finish.

The results are fantastic – the puzzle remains sturdy with a bit of flexibility and a gloss similar to a standard puzzle’s finish. It’s been a terrific addition to my puzzle-making process, ensuring my puzzles are not only preserved but also aesthetically pleasing.”
